First Day for Students:

Grades 1 thru 6 begin on Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Kindergarten Students with names ending A - H begin Wednesday, August 20, 2008

Kindergarten Students with names ending I - Z begin Thursday, August 21, 2008

All Kindergarten Students together beginning Friday, August 22, 2008

 

School Time:

Office hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Teachers are in their classroom at 7:15. Parents are requested to set up a conference time to talk with the teacher to discuss student problems.

Student Time Schedule:

Students may enter the building no earlier than 7:00 in the morning. Tardy Bell 7:40 Students must be picked up no later than 2:30 in the afternoon. If parent is not here child will go to the After School Program. Parents will be asked to pay for the first hour.

Any parent needing to pick up their child earlier than the regular dismissal time please come to the office and sign their child out.

Anyone other than a parent picking up a child a note stating whom the person is picking up the child needs to be turned into the office. This is for the child's safety.

Lunch Money

All students and staff must pack a lunch and drink until Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2008 No glass or metal containers, no pop to be brought in pack lunches.

Lunch and milk money must be sent in on Monday OR Friday of the week or pay monthly.

Book Fee

There is a book fee of $30.00 per student due the first week of school. Checks to be made out to Assumption School.

Water Bottle

All Students may bring in a water bottle. (please, no glass or metal containers)

Uniforms

Uniforms are needed to be worn starting the first day if possible. Some families are still waiting for their orders. Uniform wear violations will begin on Tuesday, September 2, 2008.

Volunteers

School volunteers are always welcome. Please send your name, telephone number, days of the week and time of day available through your child's teacher. All volunteers must complete a fingerprint process and complete the Child Protection Policy booklet before they begin volunteering in the school. Forms are available in the school office.

Bus Transportation

Parents need to contact the bus transportation manager to arrange for their child's bus transportation.

If your child is a bus rider, please call the designated bus garage and let them know your child will not be riding the bus that day.

*Parents please inform us by note or phone call before noon regarding your child's afternoon transportation for the first week of school.
